Contract: Temporary – 1 Month (24/7)
Salary: £400–£650 per day(depending on experience and qualifications)

Position Summary

International Nanny is seeking an experienced Maternity Nurse to support a family welcoming a newborn on or around 22 March 2026. This is a dedicated one-month placement focused exclusively on the immediate postnatal period.

The successful candidate will provide day-around care, guiding the family through the newborn stage with structure, reassurance, and professional expertise. The role will be based between Barcelona and Ibiza; flexibility to travel between both residences is essential.

Duties & Responsibilities

The Maternity Nurse will assume full responsibility for all newborn-related matters, working alongside the parents, and particularly the mum.

Providing comprehensive neonatal support, including:

  • Establishing safe sleep practices in line with current guidelines
  • Supporting breastfeeding, bottle-feeding, or mixed feeding
  • Monitoring weight, digestion, and general well-being
  • Maintaining detailed logs of feeds, sleep, and nappies
  • Creating a calm, predictable daily rhythm
  • Advising parents on settling techniques and newborn cues
  • Sterilising bottles and equipment
  • Maintaining nursery organisation
  • Managing baby laundry and clothing care
  • Offering practical, evidence-based advice
  • Supporting maternal recovery
  • Advising on early developmental stages

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years’ maternity nurse experience
  • A recognised maternity nurse qualification is preferred
  • Excellent newborn references
  • Fluent English and Spanish
  • Flexible to travel between Barcelona and Ibiza
  • Discreet, calm, and highly professional

This position is suited to an experienced maternity nurse specialising in the immediate newborn period who is confident working intensively during the first month following birth. It would suit a structured, reassuring professional who combines knowledge with warmth.
