Permanent, Full-Time Live-in Head Nanny (Native French or Spanish Speaker) – Riyadh

A prominent and busy family in Riyadh is seeking an experienced and capable Head Nanny to join their household, supporting the care and development of their four young children. The role focuses on the coordination of three older children—aged 9, 7, and 4—each supported by their own nanny, while also overseeing the routines and development of the youngest child, aged 1.5, in collaboration with the maternity team. Native-level proficiency in either French or Spanish is essential, as the Head Nanny will support the children's language learning through natural, everyday communication and play. This is not a governess role, but one where language is gently and consistently embedded in daily life. The position calls for strong leadership, excellent communication, exceptional organisational skills, and a calm, proactive mindset.

The Role

The Head Nanny will coordinate the children's daily routines, ensuring a structured yet warm rhythm to the day. She will work closely with the nanny team to maintain consistency and continuity across the household. A thoughtful and organised approach is key, along with the ability to remain composed and adaptable in a fast-paced family environment.

She should model respectful communication, embed language learning naturally through play and interaction, and have a strong understanding of early childhood development—including milestones such as sleep routines, potty training, emotional regulation, and the development of social skills and good manners.

The Head Nanny will:
• Support and guide sleep routines (naps, bedtime, self-soothing techniques)
• Implement and maintain a consistent potty training approach
• Use respectful, age-appropriate discipline to set clear boundaries
• Teach and model good manners, kindness, and respectful language
• Lead developmentally enriching activities (reading, creative play, outdoor time)
• Encourage routines that promote independence (dressing, tidying, table habits)
• Prepare nutritious snacks and support healthy eating habits
• Maintain tidiness and organisation of child-related areas
• Manage shopping and inventory for the children’s needs
• Collaborate with parents to ensure shared expectations and values
• Provide clear daily communication on progress, routines, and any challenges

The role includes frequent international travel and calls for discretion, cultural sensitivity, and a respectful, professional presence.

Main Requirements

• Native-level fluency in French or Spanish, with strong English communication skills

• Confident swimmer, able to supervise children around water

• Previous experience in fully staffed private households

• Background in education or early childhood development preferred

• University degree desirable; strong experience and people skills also considered

• Skilled in structured, multi-child care with a warm, nurturing approach

• Adaptable and ready to travel
