Family Overview
A professional, international family based in West London is seeking an experienced, bilingual nanny to care for their two children: a girl aged nearly 3 and a boy aged 9 months. One child attends nursery daily until 12:00 pm, while the younger child is cared for at home.
The family values calm routines, consistency, and a thoughtful, child-focused approach. They are seeking a long-term nanny who will provide stability, structure, and consistently high standards of care as the children grow.
The household includes two dogs, and the nanny must be comfortable working in a home with pets. The family also travel within Europe for approximately two months over the summer, and the nanny must be willing and able to accompany them on these trips.
Role Responsibilities
The nanny will take full responsibility for the children’s daily care, routines, and overall well-being. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Providing attentive, age-appropriate care for both children at all times
- Managing daily routines, including nursery attendance and smooth transitions
- Preparing and sterilising bottles and supporting infant feeding routines
- Confidently implementing baby-led weaning
- Preparing healthy, balanced meals for the children
- Coordinating nap times and sleep routines
- Planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities, including arts and crafts
- Taking the children to classes, activities, playdates, and outings
- Supporting early learning and, in time, assisting with homework
- Managing morning routines and preparing the children for the day
- Organising bath and bedtime routines
- Supervising swimming activities confidently, both in pools and in the sea, when travelling
- Working closely with the Principal’s PA and communicating any childcare-related supply needs in a timely manner
- Running occasional errands related to the children
The role will also involve light childcare-related housekeeping, including organising the children’s clothes, keeping their bedrooms and play areas tidy, and clearing up after meals and activities. Occasional light cooking for the family may also be required.
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will:
- Be fluent in English and Spanish (native Spanish speaker preferred)
- Hold a university degree or a relevant qualification in child development or early years
- Possess a valid Enhanced DBS check
- Hold a Paediatric First Aid certificate
- Have a minimum of 5–10 years of professional nanny experience, including care of infants
- Have experience caring for two or more children simultaneously
- Be confident in the kitchen and able to follow recipes and menu plans
- Be a confident swimmer
- Be willing and able to travel within Europe and internationally
- Be comfortable working in a household with dogs
A driving licence and Early Years tutoring or teaching experience are advantageous but not essential.
