Family Overview

A young, international family based in Barcelona is seeking a warm, energetic, and flexible nanny to care for their two very young children: a four-month-old baby and an older sibling under two years of age. This is a live-out, permanent role, well suited to someone seeking stability while remaining adaptable in a dynamic family environment.

Due to the parents’ professional commitments, their schedules may vary on a two-weekly basis. The family is therefore looking for a nanny who is highly flexible and comfortable working with changing timetables. For a full-time role, a consistent commitment is expected; for a part-time role, hours will range from 20 to 30 per week. Weekend work may be required by prior arrangement.

The family are looking for someone youthful, active, and playful who genuinely enjoys interacting with babies and toddlers. At the same time, the nanny must be calm, reliable, and discreet, as they will often have sole charge of the children. The family travel occasionally and require a nanny who is open to accompanying them when needed.

Role Responsibilities

The nanny will be responsible for the children’s daily care, routines, and overall well-being. Duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Providing attentive, loving, and age-appropriate care for both children at all times
• Managing daily routines and maintaining consistency
• Supporting infant feeding routines and general baby care
• Planning and implementing fun, stimulating, and age-appropriate activities
• Encouraging development through play and interaction
• Supporting sleep routines and nap schedules
• Taking sole charge of the children when required
• Accompanying the family during occasional travel
• Maintaining a safe, calm, and engaging environment at all times

Candidate Profile

The suitable candidate will:

• Have previous experience caring for babies and young children
• Be energetic, playful, and physically active
• Be flexible with working hours and scheduling changes
• Hold a valid First Aid and CPR certificate (or be willing to obtain one)
• Be available for weekend work
• Be willing and able to travel when required
• Be a confident swimmer
• Hold a driving licence (desirable but not essential)

Formal childcare qualifications are welcomed but not required for this role.
