Full-time, Long-term Rota Nannies (x2) – Helsinki, with International Travel

A well-travelled, structured, and discreet international family – and valued repeat clients of International Nanny – is seeking two highly experienced rota nannies to provide consistent, nurturing, and developmentally informed care for their eight-month-old son.

The child is being raised in a multilingual environment. Whilst fluent English is essential, the family would warmly welcome candidates who also offer fluency in French or Mandarin Chinese.

The family values organisation, routine, adaptability, and a calm, reassuring presence. The successful candidates will be expected to maintain consistency across various residences and during frequent international travel, working in close collaboration to ensure seamless and detailed handovers between rotations.

Role & Responsibilities

During their assigned rotations, the nannies will provide comprehensive care, managing all aspects of the child’s daily routine, including feeding, sleep, bathing, nursery duties, and age-appropriate developmental play.

Responsibilities include supporting the child’s physical, emotional, cognitive, and language development; planning engaging, screen-free activities using books, music, sensory play, and natural materials; preparing nutritious meals and supporting the child’s weaning journey; and carefully monitoring developmental milestones.

The nannies will also oversee the organisation of the child’s wardrobe, nursery, equipment, and personal belongings. This includes preparing and packing for international travel, maintaining familiar routines across different time zones, and providing thorough written and verbal handovers to the co-rota nanny.

Both candidates must be comfortable working collaboratively with the parents, the co-rota nanny, and the wider household team, whilst maintaining utmost discretion, confidentiality, and professional boundaries at all times.

Candidate Profile

• Extensive professional experience in caring for infants and young children within private households.

• Previous rota experience or a background in formal, international, or fully staffed households.

• Strong knowledge of infant development, weaning, sleep routines and age-appropriate stimulation.

• Fluent English is essential.

• Fluency in either French or Mandarin Chinese is highly desirable.

• A recognised childcare qualification.

• Current paediatric first aid certification.

• Excellent and verifiable references from recent private household positions.

• Confident and experienced with frequent international travel.

• An active, organised, and creative individual with interests such as sport, music, crafts, or outdoor activities.

• Emotionally mature, resilient and cooperative.

• Skilled in shared-care and rota working arrangements.

• Able to maintain consistency while adapting calmly to changing schedules and environments.
