Role Overview

A busy family based in Kinrooi, Belgium, is seeking an experienced, warm, and capable live-in nanny to support the care and development of their three children: a boy aged 5.5 and two girls aged 3 and 1.5 years.

Both parents run their own businesses and work long hours, so they are looking for a reliable, professional nanny who can bring structure and calm to the home, confidently manage daily routines, and provide a consistent, caring presence. This role will suit someone who enjoys countryside living and feels comfortable in a rural environment.

Responsibilities

The nanny will take responsibility for all childcare-related duties, including:

• Managing daily routines for three young children, including mornings, meals, naps, playtime, and bedtime preparation
• Preparing nutritious meals and snacks for the children, and cooking for the family when required
• Supporting school and nursery routines and ensuring punctual drop-offs and pick-ups where applicable
• Organising the children’s bedrooms, wardrobes, and play areas, maintaining order and cleanliness related to the children
• Planning age-appropriate activities that encourage independence, confidence, creativity, and development
• Providing clear and healthy boundaries in a gentle and respectful way

Candidate Profile

The family is seeking a Dutch-speaking nanny with experience caring for children of similar ages, including toddlers and young children. The ideal candidate will be calm, organised, and genuinely caring, with the confidence to manage three children at different developmental stages.

The successful candidate will be proactive, practical, and comfortable taking initiative day to day, while maintaining open, clear communication with the parents. Someone who enjoys outdoor activities and the rhythm of rural family life will be particularly well suited to this role.

Candidate Requirements

• Dutch speaker (native or fully fluent)
• Previous experience as a full-time nanny
• Demonstrated experience with toddlers and young children
• Confident swimmer
• Valid driving licence
• Comfortable working some weekends as part of a 5-day-over-7 schedule
• Confident cook, comfortable preparing family meals
• EU passport holder or holder of a valid Dutch work permit allowing legal employment, with no requirement for visa sponsorship
