About the Family
A Swiss family based between Geneva and Costa Brava (Spain) is seeking a bilingual live-in nanny to care for their 3-year-old son & potential future baby. The family values a traditional parenting approach and leads an active, healthy lifestyle. Both parents work and are connected to the maritime industry, and are often involved in travel. The household is well-structured and calm, and they are seeking someone reliable and proactive to join them in the long term.
The ideal candidate will be a native Spanish speaker who also has notions in English or French, enjoys working in a shared care setting, and has a strong sense of initiative and independence.
Role Summary
This is a hands-on role focusing on the child’s needs and development. The nanny will support the child’s developmental milestones, manners, and routines while speaking Spanish, conversational English or French. Tasks include child-related meal preparation, bedroom organisation, bathroom tidiness, and wardrobe management. The nanny should be physically fit, aligned with a healthy lifestyle, and confident with swimming and driving would be a plus, but not compulsory. A valid European passport is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide consistent, developmentally focused care for a 3-year-old boy but could also align to a baby / newborn
• Use Spanish language in daily routines
• Plan creative, age-appropriate play and learning experiences
• Reinforce routines, manners, and respectful behaviours
• Prepare nutritious meals for the child; tidy up after meals and activities
• Maintain the child's bedroom and bathroom in a tidy and hygienic state
• Manage the child's wardrobe (Washing, ironing, packing, organizing, rotating sizes, etc.)
• Encourage the child’s physical activity and outdoor play
• Support travel transitions and adapt routines between Geneva and Costa Brava
Candidate Profile
• Native Spanish speaker (essential), with conversational **English or French **
• European passport, mandatory.
• Minimum 3 years’ full-time nanny experience, ideally in live-in roles
• Strong understanding of child development and early education
• Proactive, independent, and confident in their approach
• Physically fit, health-conscious, and aligned with the family’s values
• Confident swimmer (essential); driving license is a plus.
• Flexible and adaptable, especially during travel and schedule changes
• Comfortable working in a structured, traditional household
• Able to use online or print resources (books, educational materials) to support learning
• DBS / police check and minimum two excellent references required
