                A family of three is actively seeking a Spanish-speaking maternity nanny to help them care for their one-month-old baby girl. The nanny will work full-time Monday to Friday, covering ~40 hours per week. Given the family's frequent travel between Mexico City and New York City (likely to be a near 50/50 split), they require a flexible nanny willing to travel. Ideally, the nanny will work on a live-in basis in New York City and live-out in Mexico City. This setup suits nannies residing in Mexico City who already have accommodation. However, the family is open to assisting those without accommodation in finding a place to stay in Mexico City.

               Both parents work: Mum primarily works from home, while Dad has a hybrid work arrangement, alternating between home and office. They are hands-on parents who cherish spending time with the baby when not working. They are looking for a maternity nanny for support especially when Mum returns to work in May. The nanny will be responsible for all childcare duties, such as preparing the baby for the day, sterilising bottles, organising the nursery, and going for walks. The ideal candidate knows when to step in to offer assistance and when to step back and allow the family bonding time.

               The family embraces a healthy and active lifestyle, therefore they value a nanny who shares similar practices (willingness to go for long walks, explore cities, eat at restaurants, be on the go, etc.). The family lives in the heart of New York City and Mexico City so is often exploring new shops, restaurants, museums, workout classes, etc. Although flexible, they prioritise routine and seek a maternity nanny experienced at establishing and maintaining a consistent daily schedule as the baby grows. Additionally, they prefer a nanny with a baby-led and gentle approach to parenting.

              The family comes from humble roots and is looking for someone who is willing to learn and adapt as they become part of their family. Coachability and humbleness are paramount with this family. Additionally, this family places high value on dependability (do what you say you’re going to do, showing up on time, etc.). Further, this family wants a nanny who can grow to be autonomous, who shows/exercises good judgment, and thus wants someone who would like to grow to be autonomous in their role as a nanny (the family does not wish or have any intention of being hover or helicopter parents).

               The ideal candidate is passionate about infant and childcare, demonstrating genuine love and interest in the job. They should be positive, happy, and energetic, fostering a strong bond with the children through creativity and playfulness while serving as a positive influence and role model. The maternity nanny must be reliable, proactive, able to work independently and make decisions when necessary.
