               A charming family based in Helsinki, Finland, is seeking an experienced, empathetic, and committed nanny/housekeeper to help care for their three children as well as everyday regular housekeeping. The kids' ages are 13 (boy), and 7 (girl), who live with them every other week, and the family will welcome a new baby on June 12th. The family is in search of a nanny who is either currently residing in Helsinki or has previously lived there for an extended period and is open to relocating back. They value candidates who possess a deep understanding of the area, its culture, and lifestyle, and are committed to a longer-term stay.

              The nanny will be responsible for all tasks related to the children, as well as regular housekeeping tasks such as meal preparation, grocery shopping and laundry. The nanny will work mostly Monday to Friday, occasionally including also weekends covering a 40-hour work week. As this is a live-out position, the nanny must live in Helsinki, Espoo or Kirkkonummi and be able to commute daily.

              Initially, the family will require the nanny to focus on helping to care for the baby, meal preparation and regular housekeeping as well as assist with night care for approximately 3-4 months, averaging 2-3 night shifts per week. Starting in early August, as the older children begin attending school during the day and participating in extracurricular activities, there will be fewer night shifts and the work will focus more on daytime and evenings. During the day, the nanny will prioritise helping the mother with baby care and housekeeping and prepare dinner upon the children’s return from school. Additionally, the nanny will drive the children to their after-school events and activities. As the older children live in only every other week the weekly schedule and focus of work may alternate accordingly. Some weekly schedules may include evening and night shifts for child/baby care, particularly if there are challenges with the baby's sleeping schedule or scheduled events. 

             The ideal candidate is reliable, flexible, and has previous experience in a similar family dynamic. Since the family travels during the holidays approximately 3 times a year, they are looking for a nanny who is able to travel with them, used to travelling with children and able to anticipate their needs.

             The family will highly value someone passionate about the work and the children, capable of thinking on their feet, proactive, and taking initiative when necessary. The nanny is expected to be highly organised and able to work with minimal supervision. This role is perfect for a career nanny seeking a long-term commitment with a stable family.
