A loving and busy local family of 5 based in Rome is looking for a caring career nanny who will look after their children ages, 5.5, 3, and an infant born in December. There is also the possibility of taking care of the elder children and the baby will have someone else. Mum is half-American and the family is looking for a nanny who is a Native English speaker to join the family and provide day-to-day childcare support, as well as help with language acquisition, especially as the children attend a bilingual  school 

The nanny will be working full-time hours Monday through Friday starting at 7:00 AM to help and prepare the kids to get ready for school. If the nanny has baby experience and is willing, can look after the newborn while the other two kids are in school. In the afternoon, the family will need help taking the kids to their extracurricular activities such as swimming lessons, so the candidate should have a driving license. The nanny will also be responsible for preparing the kids’ dinner and getting them ready for bed in the evenings.  The parents are both working professionals who mostly work from home, so the nanny should be used to working alongside the parents. The family will be travelling from time and therefore, they will prefer a nanny who is travel ready. 

Currently, the family can provide accommodation in a shared separate apartment located in the same building. In about 10 months, however, the family will move to a much bigger house, and the nanny will be provided with her own space in the house. 

The ideal candidate for this role is someone with previous experience working with kids and infants and a busy family. They are looking for someone active, capable, and confident at being responsible for everything child-related. The family would value someone who has a gentle approach to child-rearing but is confident in creating boundaries with the kids and establishing and implementing everyday routines. This role is perfect for a devoted, and motivated career nanny who is looking for a long-term position. 

Requirements. 

• Must have a driving license

• At least two traceable employment references 

• Previous experience as a nanny and, ideally, also with infants

• First Aid 

• Childcare qualification
