Details of the Assignment 

A busy professional and active family based in Brussels is looking for a dedicated and educated English-speaking nanny or manny who has experience in a similar household and is a confident driver. The family has 4 children (B16, G11, B6, and G4) and a little Bichon Maltese.

The ideal candidate will be working mainly with the two younger children who attend school during the day. Whereas the candidate will help the children get ready before school, the bulk of the work happens after school. The candidate will then care for the children and help with extracurricular activities, homework, and English language acquisition. Please note that you will have to travel 4-5 weeks a year. The family goes skiing once a year and to the coast- beach in the summer. Being able to ride a bike and being a confident swimmer are both a must. Additionally, with the children being in school, this leaves you part of the day to complete nanny duties (including preparing meals for the children upon request) and plan and organise educational and fun activities for the evenings and weekends.

The ideal candidate is a career nanny, who is educated with a childcare degree and has previous experience in similar roles. The candidate is an English native level. It is important that the nanny has experience teaching English as a foreign language to young children, as well as working as a full-time nanny with children of this age.

The candidate must be energetic, reliable, enthusiastic, autonomous, caring and flexible and will take care of the daily needs and development of the children. With a special focus on English language acquisition and curriculum development through play and age-appropriate activities. You will provide high standards of education and you will ensure all the developmental and learning milestones are achieved through play and learning. Mum and the girls love horse riding and the young boy enjoys planning tennis so enjoying horse riding and/or playing tennis is a plus.
