About the Family
A highly educated and creative English family based in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced, sporty, and nurturing Nanny/Governess to join them from June 2025. They have 6-year-old twins—a girl who adores languages, maths, gymnastics, and netball, and a warm-hearted, imaginative boy with dyspraxia who benefits from a sensory framework and works closely with an occupational therapist.
Both parents are warm and intellectually engaged individuals. The father is a barrister and King’s Counsel, and the mother is a former senior diplomat, now working in policy and culture. The household is fully staffed with a cook and housekeeper, allowing the nanny to focus entirely on the children. Their current British nanny (much loved by the family) is relocating back to the UK, and a smooth handover will be arranged. Candidates are welcome to speak to both the current and former nannies.
Role Overview
This is a sole-charge position with a focus on the emotional, developmental, and educational wellbeing of the twins. The ideal candidate will be a career nanny/governess with a minimum of 10 years’ experience, preferably with some exposure to working in the Gulf region. SEN experience is essential, particularly supporting children with dyspraxia or similar needs.
This role will suit someone who is loving, fun, and energetic, with a positive attitude and a child-led approach that still maintains clear boundaries. A candidate who leads a healthy lifestyle, is highly organised, proactive, and collaborative will thrive in this role.
