Details of the assignment: 

A Spanish/Swedish family based in Barcelona, Spain are looking for an experienced maternity nanny to help with their 7-month-old son. They also have a 2-year-old son who attends nursery.

The ideal candidate has a good understanding, knowledge and training with child led approaches and Montessori methodology.

Additionally, the maternity nanny has up to date knowledge or training in sleep coaching an infant. The role will be to support the 7 month old to develop an appropriate sleep pattern, allowing the child and parents to rest. Currently the infant is still breastfeeding during the night. Therefore, it is important to develop an appropriate sleep routine.

The 2 year old attends nursery and the nanny will combine her time with both children when he returns from school.

The ideal candidate is highly experienced and holds a relevant childcare qualification. She is passionate and supportive of the family and has the most current research and knowledge available to help with the routines. The family would prefer someone dedicated, loving, kind and caring. English or Spanish speaker. The contract is short term for 3 months working 24/5 or 24/6.

It is important that you are covid vaccinated and a non-smoker.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE IDEAL CANDIDATE: 

• Relevant childcare qualifications and at least 2-3 years working in a similar position
• 2-3 contactable references
• Sleep coaching knowledge  
• Child led approach trained
• Montessori approach trained ( desirable)
• English or Spanish proficiency
• First Aid Certificate
• Confident swimmer
• Salary Estimate : 300 euros per day
